It is imperative that as an agency of Oswego County serving those living with and loved ones impacted by persons with a
substance use disorder diagnosis that we are inviting, receptive, and knowledgeable to serving persons from ALL
backgrounds and identities regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, ability, etc. with our services.
We as an agency are tirelessly working to be leaders in the community that are committed to growing our cultural humility
. Cultural humility is a life-long process of self-reflection & self-critique, where we not only learn about other cultures
different from our own but also continually examine our beliefs and intersectional identities.
We have a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) committee that meets weekly to process and enact change in these areas. JEDI stands for:
Justice: Dismantling barriers and creating fair standards for those with marginalized identities
Equity: Allocating resources in a way that allows each person to have access to equal opportunities to improve quality of life
Diversity: Celebrating diverse hearts and minds in our staff that represent those we serve
Inclusion: Amplifying voices from various perspectives within our agency policies and client care
As a committee we provide annual mandatory trainings, propose changes to policies and procedures, and provide
local and national resources via emails in the areas of self-exploration, allyship, and advocacy.
The JEDI committee is led by liaison Suz Campbell MS, CASAC II, please send any inquiries my way by reaching
out to me through calling the front desk at any of our locations.
